At the heart of this maintenance is consistent testing. You cannot manage what you do not measure. A reliable test kit, whether liquid-based or digital, is your most crucial tool. Testing should be performed at least twice weekly during peak season, with a focus on several key parameters. The most critical is sanitizer level, typically chlorine, which eradicates harmful bacteria and algae.
