For ropes: Rinse salt/dirt and dry fully. For chains: Apply chain lubricant and store off the ground.

Check for misaligned tracks, adjust the rollers, or tighten loose screws in the frame. If the door is warped, consider replacing it.

Use metal post brackets or concrete anchors for stability. For wood posts, replace rotten sections and reinforce with braces.

Use outside mounting that extends beyond the window frame by at least 2 inches on each side. Add side channels if available, and ensure the blind touches the windowsill when closed.
