Plumbing Tools & Repair

A hand-crank manual auger (1/4" to 1/2" cable) works for most sinks and showers. For tougher clogs, a drum auger with a longer cable is ideal.

Never snake a disposal! Use tongs or pliers to remove debris, or a wooden spoon handle to manually turn the blades and dislodge blockages.

Rinse with hot water, scrub with a bleach solution (1:10 ratio), and let it dry completely to prevent bacteria buildup.

Methods: Boiling water, baking soda & vinegar, a plunger, or a drain snake.
