Pipes, Fittings & Valves

Check for improper threading, missing thread sealant, or vibration. Use threadlocker (Loctite) or a locking nut for stability.

Use a sharkbite fitting (push-to-connect) or a PEX-to-copper adapter with crimp rings for a secure, leak-proof seal.

Insert slowly, rotate clockwise, and avoid forcing it. Stop if you meet resistance to prevent pipe scratches.

Brass and PVC fittings can often be reused if undamaged. Compression fittings should be replaced, as the ferrule deforms during installation.
