FAQ

Find answers to the most common questions about electrical, lighting & smart home.

Electrical, Lighting & Smart Home

At least once every 6 months—remove the cover, vacuum dust, and wipe down the fan blades and housing.

Check for blocked ducts, a dirty fan grill, or incorrect venting. Ensure the fan is powerful enough for the room size and that the damper (flap) on the exterior vent opens when the fan is on.

Bathroom Safety Projects

DIY is possible if you’re comfortable with wiring and venting. However, if you lack electrical experience or need new ductwork, hiring an electrician or HVAC professional is safer.

Slide a pillowcase over each blade and wipe—dust collects inside the fabric instead of falling.
