Measure the width (left to right) and height (top to bottom) of the existing window frame in three places each. Use the smallest measurement for ordering.

Measure the width, height, and depth of the existing window frame (inside the jamb).

Measure the cutout dimensions (length/width/depth) of your existing cooktop or counter opening.

Most cities require permits for structural changes or egress windows—your installer should handle this.
